Black Lion

By R. Cary

A lion’s mane guarding at all costs even when his black lion roams,

A never backing down unless goodness is right, honor is given

Even in mistakes dangled to be made when leaving a sought

Demise, never to arrive as fierceness protects what has been built;

When a pride is lured of growling distrust one must step forward

To say no more, to kill the wanting of the black lion and his lore

To finish all, to let all see no more, but his desire will never be fed

Only defeated as the darkness of his hair shall perish when we all

Arrive ready to fight, the pride of us all coming to truth when truth

Is lived that not in one will we survive, not in one will we all now live,

But in us all is how his hair is ripped from his skin, in all is how the

Black lion’s roar becomes his end, as his bate was took but our might

Never truly understood; a challenge we accepted for in the whole there

Is no fear, nor quivering just human born lions ready for his blackened fight

End
