Anger

By R. Cary

Anger, a dangerous ascent, a crime of passion betraying myself. My friend of a darkened nature. Seeking justice I released you. I let you guide me seeking an end, a means I invoked. Delicately I held you. Viciously I resisted. In rightness I sought, moral prevail. A siren I heard, lower into the depths I went. A slave I became as when you spoke the devil cheer’d. Not an emotion they say but you sure feel good. Your relentlessness upon me. You who will not quit until your purpose is served. Usurping my will. Into crevices you sunk, your teeth of pain. Immortal wounds upon my skin. Your eternal nature. A history of deceit. You attempted for more. I let you know my abhor. You thought you could win. You went for the kill. But on that day I said no more! A dangerous endeavour I incurred. Truth is real. I bent the light for you to recoil. To know your place. How badly I took you. Enlisted you only to defeat you. Gave you life to take your breath. Now I watch as you die in death. From ashes to dust you will alway fear. The day you mentioned my name. A walk with evil and its fate. Its eventuality of loss thrown into abyss. A declaration of our inevitable prevail. Us humans, we are going to win.
